Casting Perils

Casting Perils.

I always say too much and not enough
and any can accuse me of either or both,

damaged and damaging if I do or if I

don't do no doubt: what a relief to know

my conviction of spin and one must
imagine
Sisyphus happy.

Piety is its own reward
(and righteousness, of course)

Virtue? don't mention it.

(Goes without saying.)

I don't read to be informed anymore.
My cup runneth over. To be entertained,

sure--nice work if I can get it. In the

mean time: chewing my ancient cud--

I ruminate. Good & Plenty. Not so

long long time from here to September.

It's About Time: I can think our of 3 sides
of my mouth at once as it were but can
talk & write only one side at a time in time.
This discrepancy generates my problems
in communication. Fred  Flatlander's
sphere-talk talk talk talking in circles.

It's the case that I have no dogs & cats
or young children to display, no good
looking breakfasts and lunches and
baskets of potatoes and flowers, no use
for self-help platitudes and bromides and
scriptural advice and all that; jazz  so I have
to  depend on profound wit & clever insight,
smart remarks and ironic almost sarcastic
efforts to mock and ridicule the madding
crowd without offense so as to be liked,
really
liked and while I'm not that successful,
the mental effort is good for me
and helps
stave off mid to late onset dementia and for
that
I am grateful regardless. Play and
Be Played.
